Even a plain knitted thing made with the most common garter stitch can be made bright and unusual. One has only to decorate it with embroidery. And it can be easier and more interesting than knitting colored patterns.

It is necessary

  • wide eye needle
  • threads
  • scissors
  • scheme for embroidery

Instructions

Step 1

Choose a pattern for embroidery, choose the thread of the desired colors. Select the stitch you will be embroidering with.

Step 2

The “LOOP” SEAM is used for embroidery on the front surface. Attach the thread to the wrong side of the garment and pull it to the right side at the base of the buttonhole to be sewn. Insert the needle from right to left above the buttonhole, draw out the thread and bring the needle back to the wrong side. Thus, with embroidery, you seem to be duplicating an already knitted loop.

Step 3

The "LOOP 2 * 2" SEAM is made according to the same principle as the "loop" seam. Secure the thread from the wrong side and pull it to the right side between the bases of the two loops. Insert the needle from right to left through two loops, two rows above where you left the thread. Pull the thread back to the wrong side.

Step 4

ZIGZAG TAMBOUR SEAM. Fasten the thread on the wrong side, pull it to the right side. Make a large chain stitch. Stitch forward with the needle inside the chain loop from where you pulled out the thread to where the loop will end. Repeat the procedure, making sure that the seam turns out to be like a zigzag. To do this, do the stitches forward with a needle, not in a straight line, but in a zigzag pattern.

Step 5

ROCOCO. This embroidery is usually used for making flowers. Secure the thread from the wrong side of the garment and pull it to the right side. Insert the needle into the fabric as if you are going to stitch forward with the needle. Then wind the thread around the needle, but not too tightly. Pull out the needle, if necessary, attach the resulting flagellum to the canvas with additional small stitches. The more navivs you make, the larger the arc you get.
