It often happens that the purchased jeans do not fit the figure or simply ceased to be liked. Denim is so versatile and always in fashion that you can make any garment from unwanted jeans that will look stylish in any setting. Sew a sundress from jeans that can be worn with any blouses or T-shirts.
It is necessary
- - jeans;
- - chintz fabric for decoration;
- - beads, sewing machine;
- - scissors;
- - threads;
- - a needle;
- - zipper or buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
Take your old jeans and cut off the top so that you cut off the entire zipper and the top seam that connects the legs. Cut the front of the legs in the middle so that you get two large canvases.
Step 2
Join the fabrics along the long sides and sew together. When doing this, make sure that the decorative seams of the jeans are in front. To make the sundress fit better, make the seam not straight, but fitted.
Step 3
Attach the future sundress to the figure, outline the upper lines and carefully cut out. Remember that a sundress does not have to cover the chest, it can be designed like an apron. Fold over any loose edges and sew. To make the sundress look romantic, sew on the edging of bright chintz, a beautiful brooch made from the remnants of fabric and chintz.
Step 4
If you have a slim figure, dart at the sides at the waistline. Make the factory seams also fitted.
Step 5
Sew a zipper in the back, or overcast the edges and sew on buttons. Treat the bottom of the sundress. Add ruffles with pleats from the same chintz, they will transform the dress and give a romantic look to the image.
Step 6
Cut out one or two pockets from the leftover jeans, trim the pockets with chintz piping, add an original flower, embroider a curly stem and leaves on a sewing machine (with contrasting threads). Sew pockets to the sundress. If desired, "graft" even the welt front pockets along with the adjacent fabric.
Step 7
Make flowers out of chintz, decorate a sundress with them. Sew decorative stitches - stems and leaves with contrasting threads.
Step 8
Make the straps from the same chintz. Cut out a wide strip of material, sew on the long tube, and turn to the right side. Thread a few beads on each side to decorate. At the back of the straps, connect a metal ring with a vertical denim strap through which an elastic band can be threaded.
Step 9
Unplug from the jeans and sew belt loops on the sundress at waist level or below.
You've got a great jeans sundress that can be worn both for a walk and for work.
