In the cold season, when warmth and comfort are valued in clothes much more than their uniqueness and originality, you can combine these qualities - not all people like to wear a hat, but in order to keep your head warm, you can replace the hat with fur earmuffs. These headphones are easy to sew with your own hands from faux fur and an ordinary hair band.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a headband of the right size, a piece of faux fur of the right color, and a piece of soft padding polyester to fill the headphones.

Step 2

Cut out four 10x13 cm rounded rectangles from the faux fur, after drawing the pattern on paper and then transferring it to the seamy side of the fur. Cut the fur pieces carefully, taking care not to damage the pile. You can do this with sharp-tipped nail scissors.

Step 3

Separately cut a strip of fur and wrap a hairband around it. From the inside of the headband, sew the strip with small blind stitches. Then cut out two rectangular pieces from thick cardboard that are smaller than the size of the rectangles cut out of fur.

Step 4

Sew each piece with hand stitches on the seamy side of the two fur rectangles. Stack the rectangles together, matching one backed rectangle in each pair and one unlined rectangle in each pair. Align the parts right sides to each other and sew them together on a typewriter with a knit stitch or a Zigzag stitch.

Step 5

Turn out every part of the headphones and fill in the parts through one unsewn edge with padding polyester. Then, in the same holes, insert the edges of the fur-wrapped rim so that the cardboard tabs are closer to your ear for the best fit.

Step 6

From the outside, firmly sew the headphones to the bezel, and from the inside, pull the fur a little higher and sew it as well. Put on the headphones and check if they fit well to your ears.
