Where to find earthworms?
Among these coelenterates, two groups are distinguished: garden (white) earthworm and crawling (large earthworm). The latter are especially good for catching any, including large fish, but they are more difficult to find. The crawl is harvested directly on the ground during the warm season. It is quite difficult to get it with a shovel due to the deep burrows in which it lives.
Experienced anglers are familiar with the behavior of crawlers, so they collect them in the early morning hours on park paths, beds, sidewalks. It is possible to lure these individuals to the surface: in the evening to fill their habitats with water. The fact is that if the holes of the worms are abundantly moistened, they will certainly crawl out to the surface of the soil. Moreover, there is one peculiarity in the extraction of such bait: the worm's tail always remains in the ground, so in order to pull the entire crawl to the surface, you need to hold it until it gets tired of resisting and giving in. Where can I find other representatives of coelenterates?
Look for dungworms in rotted straw, manure heaps, rotted wood, or compost. Waterworms live on the banks in the river bed and prefer places where there is a lot of silt. Loose leaves can be found on the underside of water lilies and other emerging plants. The iron ore worm prefers clay soil, green - chernozem and meadow soil.
