Modern products decorated with craquelure look stylish and original. Needlewomen can decorate their works with a net of cracks at home. For this, there are one- and two-component varnishes on sale, as well as improvised means.
It is necessary
- - one- and two-component varnish
- - acrylic paints
- - brush
- - sponge (sponge)
- - dry pastel
- - shadows
- - PVA glue
Instructions
Step 1
Coating the product with one-component varnish.
Use contrasting acrylic colors to make the cracks as visible as possible. Paint the item with acrylic paint. Let the paint dry completely. Apply one-component craquelure varnish evenly over the entire surface. The varnish should dry a little, but remain sticky. Sponge the next layer of paint on a layer of varnish and dry with a hair dryer. The paint will be covered with a net of cracks.
Step 2
Working with two-component varnish.
Apply varnish to the items from the bottle, where the number 1 is, dry the first layer to a slightly sticky state. Cover the surface with bottle number 2 varnish. The second coat of varnish creates a network of cracks into which you need to rub in the watercolor pastels. Remove excess pastels with a damp cloth.
Step 3
Craquelure with PVA glue
Paint the entire surface of the product with a thick layer of PVA glue. Let the glue dry to a sticky state. Apply a layer of acrylic paint with short brush strokes or a sponge and dry with a hair dryer. The glue will tear the paint layer and the piece will be covered with craquelure.
