Fire is a physical phenomenon that accompanies the process of burning materials. When drawing it, the main difficulty for the artist is to accurately convey the color composition and create the effect of the movement of flames.

Instructions
Step 1
Find a suitable image of fire that you want to take as a basis, since it is impractical to make a fire for this purpose, firstly, and secondly, it is dangerous. Pictures can be viewed on the Internet. If possible, observe the behavior of fire in the domestic sphere using the example of a match, gas, lighter flame. Pay attention to the flames: they can differ not only in structure, but also in color, depending on the nature of the combustible substance.
Step 2
After mastering the theory, go to practice, experiment more. To accurately convey the image of the flame, you will need the following colors: - yellow; - red; - orange; - cyan; - purple; - green; - blue; - white.
Step 3
First, arrange the background on which you will draw the flame, only then proceed to the image of the fire. At the initial stage of learning, practice rendering the traditional picture of a yellow-orange-red composition.
Step 4
Take with a brush a dark red paint (but not burgundy), apply to the place of the proposed fire. Place the strokes in the upward direction - this will create a natural effect.
Step 5
On top of the resulting layer, apply red paint a few tones lighter, while stepping back some distance from the flame outline, but not with a solid canvas. Then do the same with orange and yellow, you can add a little white to convey the direction of the fire.
Step 6
Do not forget to draw sharp corners in each tongue of the flame and make sure that the main colors of the fire (red, orange, yellow, white) are present in each area of the drawing. There should be no effect of gradual layering of one paint on another in the direction from the edge of the picture to its center, as if many borders were drawn around one point.
Step 7
Add a few semi-transparent strokes of blue, cyan, or purple paint as you like.
