Beaded products look very stylish and can emphasize your originality and creative nature. You can braid any object with beads, for example, a cabochon stone or a coin, the finishing method will be similar.

It is necessary

  • - beads;
  • - cabochon;
  • - thin beaded needle;
  • - thread or fishing line.

Instructions

Step 1

Take a thin, strong thread of a suitable color or fishing line and thread it into the needle. In this case, the thread also needs to be waxed to make it more convenient to use (just rub it on a wax candle).

Step 2

String as many beads as necessary to braid the cabbage around the widest point. Please note that there should be an even number of them, if an odd number comes out - it is better to remove one bead and distribute the remaining ones evenly, leaving small gaps between them.

Step 3

Thread the needle into the first bead, thus forming a ring, and close one end of the thread so that only one end remains. Check that the resulting ring should grip the stone tightly at its widest point.

Step 4

Start to weave the second row. To do this, put a new bead on the thread and pass the needle through the third bead of the row (skipping the second). In this case, the second bead will move and a neighbor will appear next to it. Then put another bead on the thread and, in the same way, skipping the fourth bead, thread the needle into the fifth. In this way, weave the entire row.

Step 5

To weave the third row, weave new beads into the gaps. Put a bead on the thread and, placing it in the hole, thread the needle into the next protruding bead. Likewise, weave several rows, creating a canvas that will fit snugly around the cabochon.

Step 6

To figure out how many rows to weave, try on the braid on the stone. If it seems to you that it already has sufficient width and protrudes slightly beyond the edges, start rounding. If the cabochon is small, just tighten the last row and, without loosening the tension, thread the needle through several beads in the opposite direction.

Step 7

Tie a knot and come back again. Make a few knots in this way to ensure a secure fit. Pull the thread to the other side of the braid and also tighten the edge, securing the thread with knots.

Step 8

If the cabochon is large, reduce the length of the rows one or two rows before tightening. To do this, you can use smaller beads or skip one or two beads.
