Beading is a popular activity that is exciting not only for children, but also for adults. Beads are used to make jewelry, magnetic pendants and key rings. To create countless volumetric toys, it is enough to master only one basic technique.

It is necessary

  • - wire;
  • - beads;
  • - fishing line;
  • - a needle.

Instructions

Step 1

One of the main types of technique used in the manufacture of volumetric beaded toys is parallel weaving. Start braiding on the left and continue working to the right. When making an animal, first of all, make a nose, since it is always more convenient to hide the ends of the wire in the tail section.

Step 2

When reading the weaving pattern of a three-dimensional figure, pay attention to the fact that long formulas are often shortened. Identical rows, following one after another sequentially, are recorded once. The rest of the data is indicated in brackets. For example, if you need to complete 8 identical rows of 6 beads, the formula will read: 6 (8). Remember that the number of identical rows is always indicated in parentheses.

Step 3

The process of parallel weaving is written in formulas indicating the sequence of rows and the number of beads that are needed to compose each of them. First, string the number of beads indicated in the first line of the diagram onto the wire cut to the desired length. Then - as many beads as indicated in the next line.

Step 4

Pass the other end of the wire through the beads strung to form the second row, towards the first end of the wire. At the same time, do not touch the beads of the first row. Pull out the wires to complete the second row. Note that it should be positioned exactly above the previous one.

Step 5

Then string the number of beads indicated for the third row on one end of the wire and shape it in the same way as the second. Thus, using the parallel weaving technique, each row is threaded with two wires protruding from two opposite ends. Thanks to this, the product becomes more durable.

Step 6

Having mastered the technique of parallel weaving, proceed to volumetric weaving, the main idea of which is to place the rows of beads not in one plane, but one above the other. Now, while tightening the wire of the new row, bend it a little and place it over the already finished rows.

Step 7

Upon completion of the weaving of the toy, you will find that it does not hold its shape well, since the rows are not fastened together. Sew to secure the rows. Thread a thin line into the needle, at the end of which tie a couple of knots.

Step 8

Thread the needle under the bottom row of beads. Secure by passing the thread through the knot. Tighten the line so that it runs down the middle of each row. Secure the figurine on one side and then on the other.
