The anchor serves to hold the floating object in one place. It can be cast, forged, or welded. Depending on the type of construction, the methods of its fastening differ. So, the anchor is tied to a bracket, loop, or a stroke is made, hooking not only to the fastening loop, but also to the trunk.
Instructions
Step 1
You can tie an anchor if you have a special anchor rope. Such a rope has loops at the end, they are also called "fishing light", with their help the rope is attached to the anchor on screw carbines. If there are no such loops on the rope, then the anchor can be tied with the simplest but most reliable knot. But if later the anchor catches on something, then it will be very difficult to raise it, you will have to dive.
Step 2
If there is no special rope, then tie a regular one using the "fishing bayonet" knot.
Step 3
There are other more convenient options for attaching the anchor. You can tie the anchor not by the bracket, but by the place where the lower ends of the horns and the lower part of the anchor spindle are connected. The anchor rope is tied with fishing line, twine, cord. But choose them so that they have a breaking load of no more than 15-20 kg. If a strong engagement suddenly occurs, then this cord can be broken and the anchor raised behind the trend.
Step 4
Another option is stroke.
Pass the anchor rope through the shackle and tie it to the trend. Pull the remaining end from the rope along and fix. This part of the rope should be more than the depth of the parking, then you will have additional insurance.
Step 5
Sometimes you need to tie two anchors at once. Then there can be one or two anchor guy lines to the shore, it all depends on the environment. If you need to make an anchorage in the water area where there is a big wave, then the ship must be oriented towards the wave with a stem. Otherwise, the orientation of the vessel is not so important, you just need to take into account the convenience of disembarking or embarking passengers.
Step 6
If you do not know the hydrological features of the terrain, then it is good to have an addition to the anchor in the form of a chain of large links, the length of such a chain is 70-100 cm. It can serve as an additional anchor loading, and if necessary, it can be attached to the anchor legs and then to the trend.
Step 7
If you have to sail on water bodies where there are flooded trees or driftwood, then before you give up the anchor, tie a buoy-line with a buoy, the length of which is 10-15 meters, to the trend. Instead of a buoy, you can take a wooden board, a piece of polystyrene, etc. If your anchor is stuck and it is difficult to lift it by the anchor rope, then pull on the buoype, and then the anchor will be released.
