The anchor has always been considered not only a symbol of navigation and ships, but also a symbol of protection and reliability. You can try drawing a real ship's anchor entwined with a snake and use it as a thematic symbol or to decorate any postcards, collages and art installations.

Instructions

Step 1

The anchor figure is based on a cross. Draw two perpendicular lines to form a cross, with the horizontal bar just above the center of the long vertical bar.

Step 2

Your cross has split into four segments. In the upper vertical segment, draw a small circle - it will be the top of the anchor, the ring through which the chain is pulled. The crossbar should run with a vertical axis through the center of the circle.

Step 3

In the lower segment of the cross, draw a semicircular arc, the center point of which also coincides with the axis of the cross. Draw a curving, serpentine line around the vertical bar of the cross. At the bottom of the line, sketch out the outline of the snake's head.

Step 4

Draw in more detail the lower semicircular part of the anchor - draw its main outlines around the auxiliary line, and draw sharp jagged tips of an elongated shape at the ends of the left and right hooks.

Step 5

Now draw the top of the anchor and draw rounded tips at the ends of the horizontal bar. Work out the outlines of the snake, give its body volume. Inside the top circle, draw another circle, forming a ring, and inside the ring, place the tip of the snake's tail.

Step 6

Inside the vertical part of the anchor, draw a vertical line and detail the snake's head - draw an open mouth, eyes, tongue and teeth. Add volume to the anchor using hatching, mark the places of light reflections. Erase unnecessary construction lines. Your anchor is ready!
