Unlike a float rod, a tidal rod is able to hold out in the strongest storm in the absence of a person, and then you can check the catch in a few hours with. To do this, during low tide, throw it into the sea and hook it onto a block. Then leave the place of fishing and wait for calm. When the sea has calmed down, check the catch.
