The White Sea is one of the few that wash over Russia. It is the northern inland sea located in the European part of the country and belongs to the Arctic Ocean. Based on the area (90 thousand square meters), the sea is one of the smallest to which the Russian Federation has access. Its distinctive feature is the low salinity of the water.
It is necessary

- - bottom gear,
- - paired hooks No. 6,
- - weighted jig (or live bait).
Instructions
Step 1
The flora and fauna of the White Sea is diverse, but it is difficult to call it relatively rich. For example, if we consider the neighboring sea - the Barents Sea, which in turn is a derivative of the flora and fauna of the White Sea, then it is obvious that it is richer. The fauna is unique here. There are a lot of harp seals, seals and belugas in the northern part of the sea. This applies to mammals. Among fish, the main commercial demand is for such as herring, salmon, haddock, smelt, cod, flounder and many others. Recently, pollock has become famous in the fishery, which is also called the polar cod.
Step 2
Despite the fact that the White Sea is rather harsh, fishing takes place here almost all year round. The Solovetsky Islands are popular. They mainly fish in huge bays, and also mainly from boats and yachts. Fishing from the shore, as a rule, is not done, but, nevertheless, salmon are often caught spinning there when they go to spawn.
Step 3
The most popular fish for fishermen is cod, and perhaps the most valuable fish in these places is salmon. Cod is mainly caught in places with changes in the bottom topography, usually where the coast breaks off, for example, rocks. Fishing is carried out with a very strong rod and with two hooks. Choose tackle strong, bottom, take a hook with number six and a long forearm. It is not accepted to use the worm, they fish mainly with live bait or with a jig weighing 10 grams or more. Very often catfish come across with cod, a little less often - haddock.
Step 4
Ice fishing in the White Sea is no less popular than usual. In winter, fishermen are excellent at catching herring using winter short fishing rods or special spinning rods with a 0.5 mm line and a strong reel. Attachments - herring baubles with 6-9 hooks.
Step 5
In the Kandalaksha Bay, you can see shark fishing on the hook, but without a local guide, it is practically impossible for a beginner to catch anything.
