Rats in cartoons are always portrayed as negative characters. Although they are similar to their cousins of mice, they still have some differences - a more predatory grin, larger eyes, claws. You can draw a rat in several stages.
It is necessary
- - pencil;
- - album sheet.
Instructions
Step 1
First, draw two ovals - a large one in the middle and a small one on the top right. The ovals must cross each other. Draw a circle on the left. It should be located on a large oval and protrude slightly to the left and downward. This is the base, the thigh of the hind leg. The ovals should be elongated, since rats have an elongated body and more squat than mice. Draw an elongated triangle to the oval face to indicate the elongated rat face.
Step 2
Connect the thigh circle to the head by drawing an arc through the large oval. In the place where the rat has a stomach, the arc will bend, even crossing the large oval, and closer to the chest, on the contrary, it will be convex, but not too much. Rats have a small chest. At the place where you drew the chest, draw two half-ovals to indicate the base of the front legs, they should be extended downward.
Step 3
Draw the paws of the rat - remember that the knee and elbow joints of animals walking on four legs are curved in the opposite direction. Draw paws, toes and draw claws on them. They are long enough in rats, as they need them in order to cling to vertical surfaces. Draw the ears of the rat - they are very small and located on the sides of the head, you can draw them in the form of an unfinished oval, elongated horizontally and having a gap where the ear joins the head. Remember that due to the fact that the rat has very small ears, no matter how it stands to you, it is unlikely that both ears will be visible to you at once. Draw the eyes. They are oblong in shape, the outer edge is higher, the inner corner of the eye is slightly lowered to the nose. Mark the nose with a small triangle, from which there are small cheeks from which the mustache grows.
Step 4
Erase the extra sketch lines, draw in the details - the inner surface of the ears, claws, eyes, glare in the eyes. Draw a large, thin, long tail. In rats, it is naked, hairless, slightly thicker at the base and very thin at the end. Add shadows by gently blending the pencil. The rat is ready.
