Plasticine appeared in 1899. An English teacher named William Harbutt created it so that the sculptures of his students would not dry out for a long time. In the same year, he received a patent for his invention and began the mass production of plasticine. Previously, plasticine was produced only in gray, but now there are more than enough colors and shades.
Instructions
Step 1
Unlike wax, plasticine does not dry out or harden for a long time. In addition, during work, plasticine does not stick to hands like clay at all. Comparing plasticine with ceramics, one can note the variety of its colors. And besides, the softness of the plasticine can be adjusted. To soften it, a slight increase in temperature is enough (for example, dipping a piece of plasticine in hot water).
Step 2
And now let's get down to business - to create plasticine at home. For this we need: 500 ml of boiled hot water, 400 g of flour, 200 g of salt, a tablespoon of vegetable oil and a powder called "alann", which can be found in the pharmacy.
Step 3
Mix the powder, flour and salt thoroughly with a mixer in a bowl. We make sure that there are no lumps. Next, add vegetable oil and pour in water. Mix again and add food paint of any color of your choice. We do not regret the paint so that the color of the plasticine turns out to be bright and saturated. And children, as you know, love everything bright. Now stir the mixture with a mixer until it thickens completely. Next, we need to mash the resulting mass in the same way as we knead the dough. Now you can put our plasticine in a bag or a closed jar and keep it there until it's time to use it. It's all. I wish you creative success, friends.
