Wind instruments got their name from the method of sound production: the vibrating body (that is, the source of sound) in them is a column of air. By increasing or decreasing the length of the pole, the performer achieves different pitches.
It is necessary
- - wind instrument;
- - teaching aids;
- - notes.
Instructions
Step 1
Examine wind instruments in general terms. Listen to the music played on them, pay special attention to the timbre of the instrument. Choose from all the variety what you want to learn to play on.
Step 2
Then, based on the chosen tool, start looking for a teacher. It is better to start your search with the nearest music school. Contact a teacher privately and arrange a lesson. It will be much more difficult for you to learn on your own, and a competent specialist, in addition to performing skills, will teach you the basics of solfeggio and musical theory.
Step 3
If your searches in a music school are unsuccessful, contact a music college or institute, preferably also privately. If you are just starting to master the instrument, it is pointless and too difficult for you to enter there.
Step 4
The third source of search is the sites and forums of musicians. Visitors to specialized resources often offer their services at affordable prices and are ready to teach classes in a place convenient for you, including your home. Talk to your instructor and take some practice sessions.
Step 5
An important role in playing wind instruments is played by ear cushions, that is, the position of the lips while playing. For each instrument, this parameter is individual; in some cases, the ear pads on two instruments that are similar in structure differ fundamentally. This means that if you play one instrument well, you will not be able to play another at all.
Step 6
Follow the teacher's instructions. Rehearse every day. At first, limit self-study to 20-30 minutes, gradually increasing them to 2-3 hours a day. Don't overwork yourself by forcing yourself to practice all day long.
