Elegant, beautiful and … woolen - oddly enough, but a watch can be like that. If they are tied with their own hands. Experienced craftswomen admit that creating such beauty is not so difficult. The main thing would be desire. And then you will have an exclusive novelty on the wall.
It is necessary
- - yarn, about 500 grams;
- - four knitting needles (as for knitting a sock);
- - circular needles No. 1, 2, 2.5
- - round decorative pillow;
- - clockwork.
Instructions
Step 1
Starting to knit a watch, cast on 6 face loops, which then need to be connected into a ring. Start knitting on 4 knitting needles. In the second row, increase the number of front loops as follows: knit one more (additional) from each. In the third row, add more loops by analogy with the previous one. Since at the output you should get 24 loops, then distribute them into 12 sectors. Continue knitting, increasing the loops only at the border of the sectors (at the beginning and at the end) in every second row. Thus, you should have 26 rows connected.
Step 2
When knitting will no longer fit on 4 knitting needles, transfer it to circular knitting needles and continue working. Each sector of the dial should consist of 26 loops.
Step 3
Do not forget to correctly draw the borders on the dial when knitting. When moving from one to the other, knit two rows inside out. Then change the needle to a larger size and, accordingly, increase the thickness of the thread. This can be done simply by folding the thread in half.
Step 4
Now start knitting the second ring of the dial. To do this, divide the number of available loops by 24 and distribute them on the needles like this: opposite each of the sectors, knit * 5 ip, 2 l. p, 3 ip, 2 l. n, 2 ip, 2 l. p, 3 ip, 2 l. n, 5 ip *. Repeat the sequence limited * 12 times. After you knit two rows in this way, start knitting the next in a different way. For every 5 purl stitches, make 6 stitches.
Step 5
Next, in row 4, knit 6 purl loops, then 2 front loops, then again 2 purl. Remove the last purl loop remaining on the knitting needles on an additional knitting needle. Later it will need to be started to work. Now knit 2 knit stitches and purl one from the extra knitting needle. This is followed by 2 SPs, after which 2 facial ones are removed on an additional knitting needle. Then knit 1 purl again, and then remove 2 knitting needles from the additional knitting needle. Immediately after that, change the knitting pattern: now knit 2 purl loops, 2 knit, 6 purl. In the same way, knit the entire 5th row of the dial. But in the 6th row, the number of purl loops that frame each fragment should change. Now there should be 7 instead of 6.
Step 6
In the seventh row, repeat the following construction 12 times * 7 ip, knit 2, knit 2, knit 2, knit 2 loops from 1 ip, knit 2 loops from purl 1, knit 2 loops, knit 2 I.p, 2 facial, 7 I.p *. Repeat the eighth row without changes. At 9, increase the number of "framing loops" again by one (8 instead of 7). Change the knitting needles to a larger size.
Step 7
In the tenth row, repeat the knitting pattern with the removal of loops on an additional knitting needle. But in the 11th, you need to increase the number of purl loops on different sides of the fragments. Then again repeat the whole scheme with the additional loops removed, gradually increasing each sector from 26 to 36 loops.
Step 8
Now knit 5 purl rows, where, starting from the second, increase the number of loops by 12. That is, after knitting this section of the dial, each sector should increase by 4 more loops.
Step 9
Now you need to knit a pattern on the dial. Necessarily symmetrical. Knit the first row like this: knit 3, purl 3 along the entire contour. In the second row, the scheme changes, and it is already necessary to do this: * 2 ip, remove 1 knob on an additional knitting needle (before work), then - 1 knit from the main knitting needle, 1 knit with an additional knitting needle, 1 knit with the main knitting needle, 2 and. loops *. So repeat until the very end of the row. From 3rd to 5th unchanged. And in the 6th, the technique appears again with the removal of loops on an additional knitting needle. In the 10th row, start twisting the pigtail in the opposite direction. To do this, remove 1 front loop on an additional knitting needle located before work, then 1 front loop from the main knitting needle, after 1 front loop with an additional one and again 1 front loop with the main one. Continue knitting.
Step 10
On the eighteenth row, the work with the dial is finished, now proceed to the manufacture of the side. The first row is all purl loops, the second row is front, purl, and the third is also. In the fourth row, you need to knit the purl over the front one and vice versa. Knit in this way until the edges of your side line up with the edges of the decorative pillow, which is the base for your watch. Now begin to gradually reduce the number of loops to get a knitted cover.
Step 11
Place the clockwork inside the pillow and pull the tip out into the hole in the middle of the cover. Connect arrows. And that's it, your watch is ready.
