Hand knitting is available for people of all ages and can be practiced anywhere. You can even knit on your hands on an airplane, where piercing objects are prohibited - after all, only hands will be used.
Tips for beginners
Knitting is often useful in case of stress and bad mood, as it allows a little distraction. And knitting on the fingers is safe even for children, since knitting needles and hooks that can injure them are not used.
When starting your first knitted fabric, do not tighten the loops too tight - they will be difficult to remove, and the skin on your hands may be damaged. You can use absolutely any thread. If you need a uniform fabric with large loops, thin threads will have to be folded many times, and if knitting is planned openwork, you can take rather thin threads. It is best to start with simple things, such as scarves or blankets - a straight canvas will allow you to feel the process and get used to it, after which you can tackle more complex things.
Knitting on the fingers
You can learn how to knit on your fingers using the example of a striped scarf. Having chosen the yarn, it is freed from all factory packaging so that the thread can be removed from the skein freely, and placed in a basket or a special container with a hole in the lid.
To start a set of loops, put the palm on the table and stretch the thread over the index finger under the middle finger, over the ring finger and under the little finger. Then the thread is passed in reverse order in the opposite direction. This is repeated once more, and as a result, two loops are obtained on each finger.
With your thumb, you should hold the end of the thread, then take the loop from the little finger, remove it and thread it through the upper loop. This will tighten the loop between the pinky and ring finger. This is repeated with each finger, then the thread is pulled between the middle finger and the index finger. The thread is wrapped around the index and then passed through all fingers again, making, as at the beginning of knitting, two loops. Remove the loops from the fingers, starting with the little finger, repeat the process with the first two loops.
You will have to be patient to create a beautiful scarf. Knit should look like narrow stripes about 4 cm wide. Knit this strip until the desired length is achieved. When the length is reached, the loops are closed and taken for the strip of the next color. There should be at least 5-6 stripes on a full-fledged scarf, but you shouldn't exceed 10 either.
Ready-made stripes can be connected with a thread or braided, and at the ends of such a scarf, pom-poms will look best.
Knitting by hand
When knitting on hands, use the same technique as when knitting with needles, only the loops are put on the hand when typing. The first loop is removed untied from the right to the left hand, then knit according to the pattern.
To close the knitting, two loops are transferred from the left hand to the right, the nearest one is transferred over the other and tightened, so one loop remains on the hand. The actions are repeated until only one loop remains on the right hand. Then the thread coming from the ball is cut off, its tail is pulled through the loop and tightened, and then hidden in a knitted fabric.
