Amigurumi is a Japanese technique for crocheting cute little toys. Basically, animals are knitted in this technique, but sometimes various inanimate objects are also knitted. Even a novice needlewoman can handle the amigurumi technique, as long as a few basic rules are followed.
It is necessary
Yarn, crochet hook, synthetic winterizer and endless inspiration
Instructions
Step 1
The very first step in creating a toy is the "amigurumi ring", which helps to tighten the hole at the top of the knitted part.
Step 2
The amigurumi toy is knitted in a spiral, without connecting rows and air loops. The part is knitted with a solid fabric. A certain number of loops is added in each row. The most common pattern: 1 row - 6 loops in an amigurumi ring, 2 row - 12 loops, 3 row - 18 loops, 4 row - 24 loops, etc. This means that 6 loops are added evenly in each row. First, an increase (two columns in one loop) is done in each loop, then after one, then after two, etc. Decrease the loops in the same way, in the reverse order.
Step 3
You need to knit for two walls of the loop, if the other is not indicated in the author's description of the toy. This is the only way to achieve high density and beauty of the toy pattern. If you knit only for one wall of the loop, then scars will appear in the pattern of the toy, the toy itself will become looser and more elongated.
Step 4
You need to knit counterclockwise so that the wrong side is inside the toy. All excess threads are also removed inside when changing color.
Step 5
When we decrease the loops, in no case should we skip them! For a decrease, two loops are tied together.
Step 6
Only a synthetic winterizer is suitable for stuffing a toy, cotton wool will fall off in lumps and spoil the look of the toy.
