An original swimsuit, an elegant summer top, even the upper part of an evening dress require the ability to knit a bodice. The peculiarity of this detail is that the bodice fits the body tightly. When sewing, this is controlled by the depth of the grooves. In hand-knitted products, there are usually no undercuts, but there are other ways to give the details the desired shape.
It is necessary
- - cotton threads for knitting;
- - hook on the thickness of the thread;
- - tape measure.
Instructions
Step 1
Take measurements. You need to know 2 chest girths. One measurement is taken along the most convex part of it, a centimeter passes along the centers of the mammary glands, under the armpits and along the middle of the shoulder blades. The second measurement is taken under the mammary glands. It is from this line that you will begin your work. Also measure the height from the bottom line to the most convex part and its total height. Also measure the distance along the smaller chest circumference from the middle of the distance between the mammary glands to the middle of the side.
Step 2
Crochet a rectangle of about 6x5 cm with single crochet columns, do with it all the manipulations that are usually carried out with knitted products: wash and iron. When crocheting, the size of the product after washing and steaming usually changes slightly, but in this case the product should fit snugly around the figure, so it is better to take into account the weight of the nuances.
Step 3
Calculate the number of stitches and tie a chain of chain stitches according to your smaller bust. Make 1 stitch upstitch and tie a couple of rows with single crochet stitches.
Step 4
Find the middle of the row and mark it. Measure from this point the width of the cup in one direction and the other, and also mark. The cups are knitted separately. From the beginning of the row, tie to the middle, then turn the work over and tie to the width mark. Much depends on the size of your breasts. If it is small, you do not need to add loops in the first row. For large cups on the first row after the main strip in each 3, 4 or 5 column, knit 2. Remember how many loops you added.
Step 5
Start decreasing the stitches from the second row of the cup. This can be done in several ways - for example, do not tie the rows on the last 2 columns or knit 2 columns together on each side. From the side of the armhole, this should be done through the row, and from the side of the middle of the front, depending on what shape of the neckline you want. You can also decrease the columns through the row, but it is acceptable after 3. You can also decrease the loops in the center - for example, knitting 3 columns together through the row. As a result, you get something like a triangle gathered from the bottom.
Step 6
Knit a cup to the desired height. You should be left with a row of 5-8 posts. If there are more loops, adjust their number by knitting several columns of 2 in one. Then knit a strap. It is made with a straight strip so long that it can be tied or fastened. There may be a solid strap without fastening. It joins the other end to the top of the other cup. The second cup is knitted in the same way.
Step 7
Decorate the bottom. For an open leotard, such a bodice will be enough, but the topic may be more authentic. Go back to the row you started with. Tie a straight fabric to the desired length. You can close the knitting in a circle, but then the columns are best done behind the back wall.
Step 8
The bodice can be open. Then it must be sewn along the back seam. You can also crochet the parts, in this case it is even preferable. Lightning will look very good too.
