On the shelves of shops you can see a large number of chic costumes for oriental dances. But the top embroidered with your own hands will be much more original and beautiful. To make a bodice, you will need a regular bra, fabric for the base, various decorations, a little imagination and patience.
It is necessary
- - paper and colored pencils;
- - bra;
- - the cloth;
- - beads, beads, sequins, rhinestones;
- - fasteners, ribbons, elastic band;
- - glue, thread, needle.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose a regular bra with foam cups one size larger, as it will shrink slightly when decorated. If you want to visually enlarge your breasts a little, then you can buy a bodice two or three sizes larger.
Step 2
Draw a design for your bodice and color in the details with colored pencils.
Step 3
Take the fabric for the base of the bodice of the desired color (the colors can be combined from several colors). Elastic fabric (supplex, velvet stretch, lycra, knitwear) is best suited. Cut out the base for the bodice, glue it to the bra with a warm iron on the glue interlining, tuck the edges, baste, and then sew by hand or sew along the perimeter on a sewing machine.
Step 4
You can cut off the straps and replace them with a thicker tape or bias tape to match the bodice. The sides of the bra can also be sheathed with base fabric or replaced entirely. Attach them to the bodice with an elastic band, lacing, a decorative ring, and sew a beautiful clasp to the ends. The middle connecting the bra cups can also be cut off by sewing on a beautiful buckle or a ring with rhinestones.
Step 5
Stitch the base of the bodice with beads and beads according to your pattern. They should be sewn tightly to each other so that the fabric is practically invisible. Make large volumetric elements of the bodice decoration from ribbons, beads, beads and fasten them to the base. Don't forget to embellish the straps and sides.
Step 6
Make hinges by stringing beads and beads on a strong thread or fishing line. They can be of various colors and lengths, differ in structure and shape. The only limitation is your imagination.
Step 7
Sew on the prepared braces on the finished bodice. You can attach them both along its lower edge and along the top, on the side parts and in the middle connecting the cups. They can be sewn in a continuous row or in groups in certain places, in several layers or in one, rarely or close to each other. You can attach stripes both at one end, and at both, so that you get a semicircle.
