Not a very good purchase or changes in the figure prompts you to think about how you can make adjustments to too tight clothes. There are several methods to do this without spoiling the appearance of things at all. And if you embroider the trousers correctly, then wearing them will be much more comfortable.

It is necessary

  • -pants;
  • -sewing machine;
  • - threads;
  • -scissors;
  • -hook.

Instructions

Step 1

If you need to embroider your pants just a little, then first unlock the belt. Next, loosen the darts, and also leave a little allowance in each seam. After that, sew the belt back, re-sew the button or hook, make a new loop. If there is no belt in the pants at all, then replace the button with a crochet button - this will make the pants a little looser.

Step 2

If trousers or jeans have become too small, then you should try to enlarge them by sewing braid, lace or other suitable material into the side seams. First, select the correct fabric for sewing. To do this, measure the length of the product to be altered, multiply it by two and add another ten centimeters to the allowances. The resulting figure will be the required length of the braid. The width of the material should not exceed 1 cm - this is enough to noticeably increase the size of the clothes.

Step 3

Carefully peel off the belt from the trousers and release them along the side seams. Baste the tape between the two pieces on both sides. After that, be sure to try on your pants to make any necessary adjustments.

Step 4

Sew the tape along the side seams using the sewing machine. If the preliminary fitting showed that there is no need to increase the size of the trousers at the waist, then smoothly narrow the braid to the waist line. Otherwise, sew the insert straight.

Step 5

Sew the top of the garment with a bias tape, which can be cut from a piece of fabric. On the front of the pants, attach the front of the tape and sew. Bend it to the inside of the trousers and again stitch the seam, the width of which should be no more than 0.7 cm. Bend the ends inward on the sides. Sew on a button or crochet, make a loop of threads.

Step 6

Sew the bottom of the trousers carefully and neatly, having previously ironed the braid to form a fold. When the garment is completely ready, iron it well.
