It is necessary

  • - the cloth;
  • - floss threads;
  • - embroidery hoop;
  • - a needle;
  • - scissors.

Instructions

Step 1

First, figure out what you will embroider. Prepare the necessary materials and tools. Choose cotton, calico or linen as a base, take a small hoop.

Step 2

Draw the necessary letters on paper, find a diagram of a suitable monogram on the Internet and transfer the drawing to tracing paper. Lay out the ironed fabric on a flat surface, put a carbon copy and tracing paper with a pattern on top, draw it. Decorate the words with a beautiful vignette, add some decorative details.

Step 3

Hoop the patterned fabric and start to embroider, for example, with satin stitch. For one letter, you can use different techniques and multi-colored threads. There are many types of seams and techniques with which you can apply stitches. Look at the outlines of the letters and use the appropriate ones. For example, a back stitch will work for wider parts of the symbol, and for narrower ones - a raised surface.

Step 4

It is more difficult to embroider letters of a rounded shape, for example "O", "C". Embroider the main part of these letters with a raised satin stitch; make smaller stitches for rounding. Sew a decorative frame around the letter, use a buttonhole or chain stitch.

Step 5

Use a combination of different types of seams. For example, the technique "back to the needle", the seam "rococo" or "stem". A back stitch is made as follows: insert the needle from right to left on the wrong side of the fabric. The thread should be on the left side of the stitch and run under the fabric.

Step 6

Use in work and double-sided satin stitch. Do not tighten the thread, then the stitches will be straight, one to one. Pay attention to the "looped" seam - the stitches are very tight, it looks beautiful. Pierce the fabric from the right side, guide the needle through the loop, and pull the thread gently.
