Choose a program that you will master for the next few years. Most popular: FL Studio, Ableton, Adobe Audition, Cubase. It should be said right away that the first two programs are much easier to learn. After 3 days of studying, you will already be able to do something that can be called music. If you want to connect your life with the creation of audio materials, immediately start learning Cubase or Audition.

For comparison, the first two are often used in small, home studios. The second two are used by almost all major record companies.

Don't buy the program right away. Even if you can afford it, you shouldn't buy these expensive programs right away. Download the pirated version, learn how to work on it, understand that you really need it, and only then, from an official supplier, purchase the studied product.

To learn the basics, in addition to the program, you will also need lessons. You can get them in huge numbers on the net, simply by entering something like "FL Studio lessons" or "Cubase online" into a search engine. If you know English, look for lessons on foreign sites. Many things of the "advanced" level can only be found there.
Step 5
Learn musical notation. Of course, you can try to write music based on your intuition and nothing more. But if you know the basics of melody and understand its principle, you can achieve more results in less time. So start learning the "language" of music as soon as possible.

Get a MIDI keyboard. Once the basics are learned, poking the virtual keys with the mouse will become uninteresting and inconvenient. To move from the beginner level to the more advanced level, you need a music device simulator. For a start, a simple midi keyboard for 2-4 thousand rubles will do just fine. Thanks to it, you can record drums, winds, guitar and whatever, depending on the number of instruments in your program. Unlike a virtual keyboard, having a real one at hand, you can "feel" what you are playing, and this will greatly facilitate and diversify the process.
