Among the many genres of photography, the genre of panoramic photography stands out, which is distinguished by great requirements for the professionalism of the photographer and the quality of photographic equipment. You can learn how to do beautiful and large-scale spherical panoramas that allow you to fully appreciate the integral natural or urban landscape. To do this, you need to know what the creation of a high-quality panorama depends on.
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, take care of the appropriate equipment - you will need a high-quality and durable tripod with a level, as well as a good camera. A panorama can be photographed not only with a DSLR camera, but also with an ordinary digital "soap box", but it is much more convenient to shoot with a good camera with removable lenses. It is advisable to use a special panoramic head for shooting, which will make your panorama more correct and beautiful.
Step 2
For subsequent stitching of frames into a spherical panorama, use different types of software - for stitching frames, you will need PT Gui Pro 8.3.3, for editing a frame, use the universal Adobe Photoshop CS4, and for swirling a panorama - Pano2vr.
Step 3
When taking a panorama, find the nodal point and adjust the panoramic head to match your camera lens. Set the tripod to the desired point based on the composition of the shot, and then manually adjust the camera settings. Reduce ISO to minimum and adjust aperture and shutter speed according to lighting conditions.
Step 4
Close the aperture as far as you can. Take the shutter speed as little as possible. Then set manual focus and a suitable white balance so that all parts of the panorama have the same appearance. After filming all the frames for the panorama, start stitching on a computer using the program described above.
Step 5
Reduce and optimize all frames in Photoshop so that the process of assembling the panorama does not take too long. In PT Gui Pro, load the images by choosing Load Images from the menu, and then choosing the Align Images option and wait until the process of stitching the photos is finished. You will see a preliminary stitching result.
Step 6
If necessary, manually adjust the finished panorama using the Control Points tab, and set the control points of the panorama manually. In the "Advanced" tab, select the Optimizer option for the final optimization of the panorama.
Step 7
To create a panorama in one file, click Create Panorama. Set the file size and format, and specify the path to save it. Edit the finished panorama in Photoshop. For the final rotation of the panorama and giving it a spherical shape, use the Pano2vr program.
