A soft toy in the form of a bright mushroom-fly agaric can serve as a developmental play tool, a decoration for a puppet show. And if you attach a strong loop to the mushroom toy hat, the homemade fly agaric will become a wonderful Christmas tree decoration. A certain difficulty can arise when making a hat, so the pattern can be simplified as much as possible.

It is necessary

  • - paper for patterns;
  • - pencil;
  • - scissors;
  • - red and white (beige, pale pink) dense canvas;
  • - threads and a needle;
  • - soft stuffing for toys;
  • - white oilcloth and PVA glue or white floss threads.

Instructions

Step 1

Make a pattern for a mushroom hat out of paper and adjust the size of the soft toy. You just need to make two parts - a whole circle (top of the product) and a circle with a hole in the center for the fly agaric leg (bottom of the product). You can sew a mushroom hat from felt, fleece, even leather or leatherette, only you need to choose the right fabric colors. To make the toy really look like a fly agaric, make the upper blank red, the lower one white, beige or pale pink.

Step 2

Cut out the fabric parts of the fly agaric cap according to the pattern, leaving small (approximately 0.5 cm) allowances for the connecting seams along the edges. Provide the same linen reserves on the lower part of the product, in the place where the mushroom leg will be inserted.

Step 3

Fold the top and bottom parts of the mushroom head together with the wrong side up and join along the edges with hand overcasting. Leave a piece of the part free, through which you turn the workpiece. Carefully smooth out all the stitched edges with your finger and very tightly stuff the soft toy with padding polyester or special synthetic balls for stuffing pillows and needlework. If you use a synthetic winterizer, then pre-cut it finely so that the filler is more evenly distributed inside the product.

Step 4

Cut off the fabric allowances left along the edge of the bottom hole in the head in several places, and fold them inward. Sew on the remaining loose edges of the cap. Here you can insert the leg of the mushroom and sew it on with a blind stitch. Cut out circles of white oilcloth and glue them with PVA glue on the cap to make a fly agaric. You can embroider the spots with white floss threads in a simple satin stitch: draw them with a pencil and fill in the outlined pattern with dense parallel stitches. Underline the edges of the spots with a needle-forward seam.
