Fishing in a flowing river is one of the most soothing, pacifying and at the same time gambling ways to spend your free time. Unlike pond, lake, or sea fishing, river fishing should take into account the speed and direction of the river flow, and the eddies and eddies hidden in the depths.

It is necessary

  • - fishing rods, spinning rods, floats, hooks and other fishing tackle;
  • - bait;
  • - top dressing.

Instructions

Step 1

For fishing on the river, choose one of two main methods. The first is spinning fishing with a trolley, ginga, wobbler or other bait. This option is suitable for active people, since it requires constant movement along the shore, changing nozzles, and selecting various wiring. It is necessary to purchase several types of bait in advance and select the appropriate one depending on the depth of the wiring, the type of fish, the speed of the current.

Step 2

For a more measured and relaxed fishing experience, try float fishing. It is more versatile, since it is suitable not only for predatory fish, but also for roach, crucian carp and various other herbivorous species - it is enough to choose the right bait. If it is supposed to feed the fish, the speed of the flow of running water should be taken into account, the food should be thrown 2-5 meters from the place of fishing.

Step 3

The faster the current, the longer you take the rod. This is due to the fact that over time the water carries away the tackle, and you have to throw it over and over again. If the rod is long enough, at least 6-7 meters, then the angler will be freed from frequent casts.

Step 4

Pick up a float with a noticeable antenna and a long keel, it is better to fix it with cambric in the keel at two points, this option is more convenient from the point of view of position control. If there is algae or thickets of grass on the river, the hook can be fixed on a thin leash so that you do not lose line and float when hooked.

Step 5

To catch insectivorous fish, look for places with a steep and gentle coast. Predatory fish prefer rivers with snags and pools. Pikes are often found in thickets of algae and among snags, close to fast currents, since it is convenient to hide there, but you need to be careful, it is very easy to lose the bait there. For fishing in snags and thickets, silicone baits are indispensable, they practically do not catch and do not get lost. Catfish and burbots wait for prey in deep pits at the bottom, to find them, you need an echo sounder or information from experienced fishermen.

Step 6

On the rapids, try to catch chub or roach, they love oxygenated water. At the confluence of two rivers, streams flowing into the river, whirlpools and eddies are formed, these are one of the most successful places for fishing - many species of fish seek here to rest and catch the caddis flies and bloodworms brought by the current.

Step 7

Don't forget to check the weather forecast before fishing. In cloudy and windy weather, the chances of a rich catch are significantly reduced, but a light breeze from the shore only plays into the hands of the fisherman - it blows small insects into the water, thus attracting schools of fish.
