The Tver region is rich in water resources. More than a dozen large rivers flow in this area. Therefore, the surroundings of Tver attract fishing enthusiasts. You can fish on the Volga, Dvina, Vazuz, Shosh and other rivers. Shosha is attractive because almost all of its banks are significantly removed from settlements, on this river you can perfectly fish and relax, enjoying the peace and quiet.
The Shosha River flows through the Tver and Moscow regions. Its length is 163 kilometers. The river bed is meandering, the banks are low and swampy in places. Shosha flows into the Ivankovskoe reservoir. A reach is formed at the confluence. Shosha is popular with anglers all year round.
Fishing spots
Shosh is home to many species of freshwater fish, including perch, ide, roach, pike, gudgeon, bream and chub. However, in some places its banks are swampy, because of this, fishing is not possible in all parts of the river. And access to Shosh by car is also difficult in some places.
One of the most popular fishing spots is located near the village of Turginovo, which can be reached by any car. Also, many fishing spots can be found below Turginovo, where the river widens. With a motor boat, finding a fishing spot is greatly simplified. In addition, you can sail by boat from the pier in the village of Konakovo to Turginovo.
Near the village of Volodino, a predatory fish bites quite well. You can catch pike with wobblers and spinners. If you go along the E-105 highway by car in the direction of Tver, it is better not to reach this village and turn to Pasynkovo. After Pasynkovo drive along the Moscow highway for about two kilometers, then there will be a normal approach to the water.
The section of the river outside the village of Bezborodovo is suitable for catching predatory fish with a feeder. And the maggots are good for catching bream there. The nibble is likely to be more active during the day. Although at night there is a chance to catch large fish. Bezborodovo is located at the confluence of Shoshi into the Ivankovskoye reservoir. Fishing spots can be found above the village. If you move upstream, then about one kilometer from Bezborodovo there will be approaches to the water and a bridge across the river.
The lower reaches of the Shoshi are located on the site of the Zavidovsky Reserve, where fishing is possible only with a permit. You can get permission from the directorate of the reserve.
Bait and tackle
Brood and silver bream usually bite well on the jig. The attention of perch and roach is most often attracted by dough or maggots. If you are planning to go to Shosha for such trophies as large pike and pike perch, then it is better to stock up on silicone baits, wobblers, jig heads and spinners. A good catch can be obtained by using live bait: gudgeon, perch, roach or crucian carp.
You can use a float rod to catch pike from the shore, but you can hardly catch more than two fish in one place. After each caught pike, it is better to change the place of casting. Or you can fish from a boat.
