Instructions

Step 1

First, you need to outline what size of the whale you want to get. Since a whale is a large animal, it is better to draw it on the whole sheet of paper. We outline where the head, body and tail will be located. In our example, the whale will be depicted horizontally - it is in this position that it constantly stays. We draw a large oval for the body and draw the head in the form of a half oval to it in front.

Step 2

The whale's tail usually points upwards, so we depict the tail as a long oval, narrowed on one side and directed slightly upward. Draw a fin in the shape of an isosceles triangle with beveled corners to the oval at the end. Simultaneously adds room for eyes and lower fins.

Step 3

We draw the lower fins in the form of elongated trapezoids. Draw the eye and the top of the head.

Step 4

Now you can start adding volume to the whale. To do this, shade the lower part of the fins facing the body and the lower part of the tail.

Step 5

In the last step, we continue to shade the whale in its lower part to give the animal volume.
