It happens that situations arise when you need to glue two pieces of fabric end-to-end so that the place of their connection remains invisible. For this purpose, you can use BF-6 glue. Such adhesive bonds provide strength no less than when stitched together.
Instructions
Step 1
To make the connection invisible, first cut the fringe around the edges of the fabric and fit them tightly together. Next, cut out an overlay - a strip of the same fabric 1, 5-2 cm wide.
Step 2
To prevent glue from coming out during gluing, moisten with water and wring out the overlay and the junction of the fabric. Using a brush, apply a small layer of glue to the patch, as well as to the back of the fabric pieces to be glued and to the place where they join.
Step 3
It is necessary to withstand the glue for a while, then apply a second layer and let the glue dry again. On the wrong side of the fabric to be glued, attach the patch and cover it on top with a damp, clean cloth and press with a hot iron for about 10-12 seconds.
Step 4
Then remove the iron for 3-4 seconds and press down again. Repeat this process until your fabric is completely dry. Next, put the iron aside, you will no longer need it, now you just have to wait for the fabric to cool down.
Step 5
The main thing is to take into account the temperature of the iron during bonding so that it is not too high for this type of fabric to be bonded.
