Instructions
Step 1
Measure your bust, shoulder length and product length, neck circumference. Build a vest pattern.
Step 2
Draw a right angle, set aside from the top to the right a segment equal to ¼ measurements of the neck circumference, downwards - 3 and 10 cm. Connect a dot on the horizontal line with points 3 and 10 with a smooth line. Thus, you will get the lines of the neck of the front and back.
Step 3
From point 3, lay down the measurement of the length of the product. To the right of her is a measure equal to 1/4 of the chest girth. Swipe up a straight line. Set your shoulder measurement aside from the neck point. From it, lower down a segment equal to the desired length of the armhole. Draw a straight line to the right of this point. Connect the intersection point to the shoulder point.
Step 4
Cut out a pattern for the front and back. Attach to yourself and make the necessary changes. Unloading should not hinder movement.
Step 5
Think about what you will need to wear in unloading. Draw the location of the pockets. The best way is to cut rectangles of different sizes, attach them to the pattern and choose the most optimal position.
Step 6
Cut out the front and back details from the base and lining fabric. If you are going to use unloading in the cool season, then make a gasket from holofiber or synthetic winterizer. Mark the location of all pockets on the front of the vest.
Step 7
Stitch the bottom corners of the rectangles to make the pockets larger. Press seam allowances to the wrong side. Secure the pockets in place with safety pins.
Step 8
Fold the valve parts right-side up and stitch, leaving the top of the valve open. Turn to the right side, sew on a piece of Velcro or a buckle. Sew on pockets and flaps. Make bartacks at the entrances to the pocket.
Step 9
Fold the top, padding polyester and lining, and pin. Sew side and shoulder seams. Tape around all cuts with belt tape.
Step 10
Mark lines for web straps and buckles. Sew on the straps, and bartack at the ends of the stitching. Attach the buckles. The unloading base is ready.
