Step 1
Use a pencil and ruler to draw a square on the cardboard. The size of the square will be the bottom of your box. Thus, you can make a box for both jewelry and the largest gift. It all depends only on the size of the cardboard sheet. Remember to leave room for the sides of the box.
Step 2
Draw lines on each side of the rectangle. Choose the length of the lines according to how deep you need the box. These will be the sides. At a distance of two centimeters from the sides, indent for the folds. Make cuts near the bottom of the box at a 45 degree angle. To assemble your box, glue the padding to the adjacent sides.
Step 3
Make the lid in the same way. Only the bottom of the lid needs to be wider to be able to close the box. And consider the depth of the cover. That is, the side lines should be shorter.
Step 4
Decorate the made box. Wrapping paper will help you with this: glue all sides. From the inside of the box, you can make funny inscriptions or drawings. From the outside of the box, you can attach elegant bows, glue a tape to the lid.
Step 5
Use your imagination or think about what the person to whom you are going to present the gift might like. It can be rhinestones, paper flowers or snowflakes, if the holiday is winter. In any case, your work will be appreciated. Because a handmade gift is always a pleasure to receive.
