The kerchief is a small, triangular net woven from thin fishing line. A metal weighting rod is attached to its lower edge, under the force of gravity of which the kerchief is straightened in the water. In spontaneous conditions, the twig is replaced by a branch of a tree with several stones for weighting. It is used during winter fishing for catching fry and other larger fish. So how do you fish with a scarf?
It is necessary
- - ice screw;
- - kerchief.
Instructions
Step 1
Live bait caught from under the ice is more hardy and remains alive on the hook for a long time. To catch the fry, drill a hole with an ice drill. Take a scarf with a 15 mm netting mesh from a line from 0, 12-0, 15 mm, equip it with a bark float (but you can do without it). Pull its nylon cord as far as it will go until the float rests against the ring, and carefully insert the kerchief into the hole. After it lies on the bottom, make sure that the float pulls the cord up and lifts the kerchief itself. After that, with control pull-ups, make sure that it has straightened: this is felt due to the reverse resistance of the float.
Step 2
Now throw the top dressing into the hole - compound feed or finely crumbled bread. After 15 minutes, check the tackle. If there is a fry, carefully untangle it and lower the scarf back into the hole. Check the scarf every 15-20 minutes. If there is no fish, move to another place and repeat the throw of the scarf into the new hole and bait the fish.
Step 3
If it's freezing outside, then it is better to catch it together: one lifts the scarf, and the second gently unravels the fry so as not to damage it.
Step 4
Remember: do not pull out the entire kerchief at once, remove the live bait as it appears from the hole to prevent the fish below it from freezing.
Step 5
To catch larger fish, take a double-walled or three-walled scarf with a mesh size of 35-75 mm, depending on what kind of fish you plan to catch. For example, on a double-walled scarf with a cell size of 70-75 mm you will catch a bream, on the same, only with a smaller size - 60-65 mm - a bream, on a single-walled gill net with a cell size of 35 mm - roach, sabrefish and perch. The latter cell size is the most popular, since there is always the possibility of catching something in the ear.
Step 6
The most suitable time for headscarf fishing is the first ice, at which time the fish is still actively moving. In the middle of winter, catches decrease and begin to increase only with spring thaws.
