Solving crosswords develops intelligence and erudition. Sometimes fans of "word games" are not limited only to solving and think about trying their hand at composing crossword puzzles. How can this be done?

It is necessary

  • - a sheet of paper in the box;
  • - ruler;
  • - pencil.

Instructions

Step 1

Start by building the mesh. Draw blank cells that will later be filled with words. Number each first cell. For the first time, don't make it too difficult for yourself. Make a grid version in which there will be no more than two intersections in each word. On a separate sheet, build in a column all the numbers used in the crossword puzzle - this is a template for recording future definitions.

Step 2

Start filling out the crossword puzzle, starting from the intersections. It is better if there are often found vowels "a", "and", "o", "e". Of course, you can use other letters, however, making it a little harder for yourself. If you fill in the intersection cells with consonants, try to use the words that are often used in the words: "m", "n", "s", "p", "k". In doing so, pay attention to the place of the letter in the word. "Н", "к" are more appropriate as the penultimate letter (for the endings "-na", "-ka"). Accordingly, if there are two letters left to the end of the word, "l", "s", "and" are more suitable (for the endings "-log", "-st", "-st"). It is better not to use rare letters, such as "ts", "h", "w", "u", "f", "e", "u", "I", "b", "b" …

Step 3

Come up with words, starting with longer, more complex, pre-prepared words. At the same time, very short words, consisting of 3-4 letters, should also not be left to last, since there are not so many options.

Step 4

To make it interesting for those who will solve the crossword puzzle, try not to fill it with too exotic words. It is better to resort to concepts and names from the field of history, geography, biology, with which the average inhabitant of Russia one way or another comes across in everyday life. At the same time, make sure that the crossword puzzle does not become primitive either, after all, its main purpose is to develop intelligence and maintain erudition.

Step 5

Come up with definitions for words. Try to keep them based on associative thinking. Remember that it is thanks to this approach that the crossword puzzle can be made interesting. For example, the word "bottom" can be described as "solid ground under the water of a river" or as "a place to which people compare the environment of descended people." The last option is built on the association.
