Vladimir Valentinovich Bukin is an opera singer, soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, teacher and founder of the National Opera Theater of Entreprise.
Biography
The small village of Zhavoronki in the Moscow region is not well known to anyone. There is a single school, a small theater studio, and only one library. But the history of the village has more than four centuries, and only in the last century this small Russian village gave the world many big names, not counting those artists who lived here from time to time: from Okudzhava to Petrosyan.
It was here, in the quiet expanse of the rural suburbs, that at the end of November 1950, Vladimir Bukin, the future soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, who became famous throughout the world, was born. In due time, the son of ordinary peasants, husband and wife Bukin, went to school, at the same time attending the local theater center, worked as a teenager at a factory and sang in the local church choir. And then, thanks to the persistence of the teachers, who saw great talent in the boy, and the efforts of his parents, Volodya was sent to study at the Dunaevsky Moscow Music School for Children, which still operates today.
After music school, the guy entered the famous "Gnesinka", which he graduated in 1984. But even as a student, for his incredible voice (dramatic baritone) in 1982, Volodya was invited to the Bolshoi Theater as an intern.
Career
After graduating from the State Institute. Gnesins, Bukin became a soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, where he performed until 2002. By the way, he was one of the few opera singers whose voice, even in old age, retained a fresh and strong sound.
The work of Vladimir Bukin includes a colossal repertoire of both classical works and Russian and Ukrainian folk songs, Neapolitan tunes, gypsy and Russian romances. Bukin worked in cinema with directors from Russia and Great Britain: Gelovani, Maslennikov, Chistyakov, Mansurov. He appeared on television in the show "Two Grand Pianos" and performed the part of Sadko in the radio show of the same name.
The singer, remaining an outstanding soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, toured with concerts, sang in different languages, performed on the stages of the Stuttgart Opera, the Metropolitan Opera, in theaters in Seoul, Dresden, Tokyo, Budapest and Madrid. Vladimir Bukin has many awards. He is a laureate of the international Shalyapin competition, has an honorary medal of the USSR for outstanding services in amateur performances, a prize-winner of the festival of vocal art. Mikhailov, received the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and others.
Personal life and death
In recent years, Bukin thought about teaching vocals and for this he became the founder of NOTA, the national opera house. In addition to stage activities, he was fond of playing the piano and horse riding. Nothing is known about his family, the singer's close people do not want to disclose the details of Bukin's private life. The artist died in September 2018, was buried in Moscow at the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery.
