Modern artists use not only classical drawing tools, but also modern ones - for example, an interesting visual effect in painting can be achieved using an airbrush. With the help of airbrushing, you can create an original painting of any surface, but in order for your creativity to be truly professional, you need to know how to work with an airbrush correctly, and, of course, how to choose the right airbrush, which will become your artistic tool.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have no experience with airbrushing and are an aspiring artist, don't go for an overly expensive and versatile model.
Step 2
A simpler airbrush model will allow you to master the technique of airbrushing without being distracted by additional functions that at first can only get in the way. Choose a mid-priced airbrush that is suitable for general rather than highly specialized applications.
Step 3
When buying an airbrush, pay attention to several of its characteristics - the type of airbrush, the size of the paint tank, and the diameter of the material nozzle. The diameter of the nozzle and the distance from the airbrush to the line that is applied to the surface affects the thickness and accuracy of the line, and the rate of paint consumption.
Step 4
Among the types of airbrushes you will find both automatic airbrushes and double independent ones. In a double independent airbrush, the button controls two parameters at once - needle travel and air pressure.
Step 5
In an automatic airbrush, the button only works in one direction. The optimal size for a vertical paint container is 5-7 ml. If you need to connect tanks that hold more paint to your airbrush, you need an airbrush with double eyeliner.
Step 6
When working with an airbrush, you need a compressor. Choose a compressor based on your purpose - if you are going to work from home, you will need a small, lightweight, quiet compressor.
Step 7
The quality and price of a compressor depends on its performance and the volume of the receiver.
