One of the main fun of Internet users is the creation of so-called "fotoad" - caricatures based on certain images. The level of such creativity depends on the skill of a particular user, but the fundamental skill is the ability to cut a particular piece from a photo.
It is necessary
Adobe photoshop
Instructions
Step 1
Open Adobe Photoshop and load the desired photo into it. To do this, click the File> Open menu item (or use the Ctrl + O hotkeys), then select the required picture and click "Open". Depending on the shape, size and complexity of the piece you are cutting, you can use completely different tools.
Step 2
If the area to be cut has a regular rectangular or oval shape, use the Rectangular Marquee Tool or the Elliptical Marquee Tool (hotkey - M, switching between adjacent elements - Shift + M). Once selected, hold down the left button and drag the mouse in the desired direction. When the rectangular area (or oval) becomes the required size, release the left mouse button.
Step 3
To cut a piece by hand, use the Lasso Tool (L, toggle Shift + L). Hold down the left mouse button, draw the required area and finally close the contour.
Step 4
If the contour of the cut fragment consists only of straight lines and corners, use the Polygonal Lasso Tool (L, switch - Shift + L). Hold down the left mouse button and line by line, move along the path, and at the end close it.
Step 5
If you need to cut out a fragment of a photo that contrasts sharply with the background, use the Magnetic Lasso Tool (L, toggle - Shift + L). The principle of operation is similar to the previous two, but an important difference is that the contour line is able to independently cling to the edge of the fragment.
Step 6
To select an area that is uniform in hue or tonality, use the Quick Selection Tool (W, toggle - Shift + W). Hold down the left mouse button in the desired place of the photo and move it in the desired direction. The selection area will increase before your eyes, the main thing is not to overdo it. To cancel the current selection, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + D.
Step 7
To move a piece, turn on the Move Tool (V), and then drag the selection to another place in this photo, or even to another image.
