Wooden blanks (you can use cotton candy sticks or sticks from a sushi restaurant), a sharp knife, sandpaper (preferably of different grain sizes), a thin metal nail file, wood varnish

Step 1
Take the blank stick of your choice and use a sharp knife to cut off a small amount of wood at the very edge. The most important thing is not the shape of the hook itself, but the diameter of its base and the distance where the flat part begins (characteristics determined by the number). It is best to have a hook on hand that you want to duplicate. So, crochet a few stitches and measure the distance where the flat part of the hook begins.
Step 2
Transfer the measured distance to the workpiece and make a mark where the hook itself should start. Now sharpen the workpiece carefully. The working surface of your hook should have a round shape, the handle that you hold in your fingers can be any other shape of your choice. The main thing here is to make it convenient to work later. Sand the surface to smooth out the roughness.
Step 3
Cut out the crochet hook based on the size of the hook you took as a reference. If desired, the indentation can be made larger or smaller. Based on how you will be more comfortable working in the future.
Sand the inner surface of the hook with fine sandpaper and a thin flat nail file. There should be no roughness on the inner surface. Cover the finished product with transparent varnish and let dry. The hook is ready!
