Instructions

Step 1

The competition has its own rules. They establish that Eurovision is taking place in May. Traditionally, the final takes place on Saturday in May. It will be visible at exactly 21:00 according to Western European time. A little earlier, on Thursday at the same time, the semi-final of the competition is held.

Step 2

However, modern rules have changed somewhat from the original. At the time of the very first competition in Switzerland, the number of participating countries was only 7 pieces. Each performer was required to perform two songs. Currently, only one composition is required from each musician in the competition.

Step 3

By the way, the singer is now not limited in what language he can sing in. Previously, there was a restriction according to which the performance had to be carried out exclusively in the state language of the participating country. Now the contestant is free to choose a song in absolutely any language.

Step 4

Throughout the Eurovision Song Contest, one rule existed and continues to exist: the selected song must be presented without a phonogram of the voice, that is, the participant will have to sing “live” for an audience of many thousands.

Step 5

After all the announced compositions have been presented to the audience and judges, a general vote will begin. The audience is given 15 minutes for it, during which they should choose the most liked song and its performer. You can vote for any participant except your compatriot.

Step 6

As soon as all members of the jury have counted votes for each of the countries represented (for example, separately for Germany, Italy, France, Russia and other countries). The participating country with the most votes becomes the winner. The right to host Eurovision next year passes to her.
