Before going fishing, be sure to prepare well for it: buy a fishing rod, buy bait and, of course, tie a hook. Moreover, a lot depends on the latter, because if, for example, the hook is tied incorrectly, at the most crucial moment it may fall into the water … Such a turn of events is certainly not included in your plans.
It is necessary
- - fishing line;
- - hook;
- - a needle;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
Fold a small piece of line in half and attach the line to the shank of the hook (so that the small loop hangs down) and wind the supplied line around the hook at one end (make 6-7 windings).
Step 2
Pinch the made winding with your fingers so that it does not loosen. Pass the end of the line with which the hook was wrapped into the loop that was left and pull off this loop. The resulting loop should secure the end of the line well, preventing the knot from untightening.
Step 3
Cut off the fixed end of the line, about three millimeters away from the locking loop. Then cut the other end of the line. The knot is tied. This knot is called the Locking Loop Spiral Knot.
Step 4
You can also tie the spiral knot without the loop. Start tying it in the same way as the spiral knot with the locking loop. However, there is one important nuance here: before you start winding the forend of the hook, be sure to attach a needle with a wide eyelet to the forend (the eye should be wide enough so that you can thread the fishing line through it). Wind the spiral and pinch the winding with your fingers so that it does not loosen.
Step 5
Then thread the end of the line through the eye of the needle and push the needle towards the hook while pulling the end of the line through the spiral. Tighten the coils well.
Step 6
The simplest knot is Palomar. To tie it, do the following: pass the fishing line through the hole in the hook, then, stepping back ten centimeters from the hook, turn one end of the fishing line in the direction of the hook and wind it around the two lines coming from the hook, five spiral turns. Then tighten the knot: it is ready.
