Annually on the eve of the great holiday Victory Day, St. George ribbons are handed out. Most people, of course, take these ribbons, but often the products remain in pockets, bags and glove compartments of cars due to the fact that many do not know how and where this symbol of victory can be tied so that it looks beautiful and does not cause surrounding condemnation.
If you have a St. George ribbon and you do not know where to attach it, then you can use one of the proposed options:
- Tie the ribbon in a beautiful bow, flower or fold it in the shape of the letter "M", zipper and attach with pins on the left side of the chest, closer to the heart.
- If wearing long sleeves, tie it over the sleeve over your shoulder and tie a knot. To prevent the tape from falling off, carefully sew it to the garment with a blind stitch.
- If wearing short sleeves, tie a ribbon around your wrist like a bracelet.
- For motorists, you can attach the tape to the left side mirror or attach it to the antenna.
- It is permissible to wear a ribbon by tying it to the handle of the bag.
- The kid can tie a ribbon in the form of a tie.
Where you can not wear the St. George ribbon
Never use laces or straps. If the memory of your ancestors is dear to you, then exclude wearing a ribbon as a hair decoration. A sign of disrespect for the memory of heroes is the wearing of a St. George ribbon below the belt, as well as the use of a product in the form of a collar for an animal.
How to make a bow from a St. George ribbon
Take the tape, cut off the corners at a 45-degree angle, and lightly singe the cuts. Lay the ribbon in front of you in a loop.
With your left hand, hold the intersection of the ends, and with your right, grab the top center of the loop and move it down under the intersection of the ends that you are holding with your left hand. Secure the center of the bow with either a brooch or a pin. If desired, carefully sew or tie with thread in one of the colors of the product.
