How to make a Christmas mask with your own hands
To make a mask, you will need:
- cardboard;
- a linen elastic band 20 cm long;
- scissors;
- stationery knife;

- decorative elements (lace, rhinestones, beads, beads, feathers, etc.).
Step-by-step instruction:
- First, we measure the distance from one temporal bone to another, after which we draw a straight line equal to this distance on a sheet of cardboard.
- Exactly in the middle of the line we make a mark and on both sides we retreat from it by 1, 5 cm. In the place of indents we put points that will serve as the beginning for creating slits for the eyes.
- From these points we measure 3 cm each, taking the line 1 cm up, then we connect the points using smooth curved lines, creating an image of the eyes.
- Cut out the slits for the eyes along the outlined contour using an ordinary clerical knife.
- After the eyes of the future New Year's mask are cut out, you can start creating its shape, which depends only on your desire and imagination. Also remember to make an oblong indentation in the nasal septum area.
- From both ends, we retreat 1 cm from the blank of the masquerade mask cut out of cardboard and in this place we attach a linen elastic to the cardboard, using a stapler for this purpose.
- The last stage is the decoration of the New Year's mask. The color scheme of elements for decorative finishing should be combined with the New Year's outfit. For example, a mask trimmed with black lace is ideal for a black or red dress.

To make a mask, you will need:

- oily face cream;
- glue;
- hairdryer;
- scissors;
- acrylic paints;
- a linen elastic band 20 cm long;
- stapler;
- decorative elements (feathers, rhinestones, beads, glitters, sequins, etc.).
Step-by-step instruction:
- The volumetric masquerade mask is made according to the papier-mâché principle. To do this, we cut a newspaper or thin paper into many small pieces.
- Then we smear the skin of the face with a fat cream and begin to glue the area of the nose and around the eyes with paper pieces so that there are no gaps left.
- When the first layer is laid out, completely glue the area lined of paper with glue, and again glue it with newspaper pieces. If necessary, this procedure can be repeated several more times.
- To speed up the drying process of the glue, we dry the blank for the future mask with a hair dryer, directing a stream of warm air onto it. Remove the dried mask from the face and cut off the irregularities around the edges.
