Chucky - who is he

According to the plot of the film, Chucky was an ordinary toy from a specialty store. He was until the time when the soul of an evil killer, who hid from the police in a shop before his death, entered his little body.

From the store, the animated doll gets to a boy named Eddie and begins its bloody journey. Having caused a lot of troubles to the boy's family, killing everyone who dared to stand in his way, Chucky dies himself - he is "dismembered", he is shot in the heart, he is burned. But with the help of his bride, this little monster comes to life again and again, striking with its cunning, arrogance, bloodthirstiness and vitality.

Chucky doll - this invincible red-haired beast not only took a leading position among such characters, as the most popular hero of a horror movie, but also moved to the shelves of toy stores, scary souvenirs, became one of the most demanded "faces" of Halloween. Moreover, in the continuation of his film history, this hero first had a bride, who very soon became a wife, and they even had children.

Chucky doll features

One of the main distinguishing features of this puppet hero is that the filmmakers endowed him with human properties - he is not hollow, he has all the organs that a person has, his wounds bleed, his skin is scarred, he is able to have sex and have children.

And its regenerative abilities simply amaze the viewer's imagination. After death, it is easily "restored", for example, when it is sewn together, it almost instantly comes to life.

Who was the prototype of the Chucky doll

Despite the general misconception that Chucky is a fictional character, he has a prototype, and not one, but two at once.

The idea of creating the character of Tom Holland was prompted by the story of the murder of a man who stood in line for a gift for his son in a toy store. This tragedy took place in one of the American cities in 1980.

Simultaneously with this incident, the author came across an article in a newspaper almost a century ago about an ominous sailor doll. According to legend, this doll was donated by a voodoo servant to his master's son. After the appearance of this doll in the house, misfortunes fell on the family, and attempts to get rid of the toy were unsuccessful. The boy's parents claimed that they heard how the boy talked to the doll and even how she answered him. The history of the family ends, of course, deplorably - someone dies, someone ends up in a psychiatric clinic, and the boy, the owner of the sinister sailor, disappears without a trace.
