So you want to have a couple of original things in your wardrobe. But, unfortunately, there is not always enough money for this. Make the fashionable outfits yourself. For example, you can make a pretty skirt for a romantic date from old, worn jeans.
It is necessary
- - old blue jeans;
- - with half a meter of panne;
- - threads;
- - scissors;
- - sewing machine;
- - a crayon or a piece of soap;
- - needles.
Instructions
Step 1
Take jeans 1-2 sizes larger than you are wearing. For this business, old jeans of an older sister, mother or husband will do. If those are not available, go to the Second hand store and choose the appropriate texture there. The bell style is best for a skirt.
Step 2
Wash jeans, dry and iron. It is much more pleasant and convenient to work with clean and ironed material.
Step 3
Turn the jeans inside out and gently rip apart the seams on the inside of the legs. You should have a "skirt" with two slits - centered in the front and back.
Step 4
Align the crotch seam curve - cut off excess. Remember to leave a seam allowance.
Step 5
The next step is to measure the length of your skirt. It should be 4-5 centimeters above the ankle. Trim off any excess, leaving 2 cm for the hem.
Step 6
Spread the ripped jeans out on a table or floor. From the front to the center, draw a triangle from the knees to the bottom with chalk or a piece of soap. The base of the triangle is 4-6 cm. From the back, the top of the geometric figure can be taken higher - for example, from the buttocks, and the width of the base is 6-8 cm.
Step 7
Then carefully cut out the resulting triangles. But do not rush to throw them away. Spread out the velvet. Attach denim triangles to it. Circle along the contour.
Step 8
Then add a few centimeters to this template. Leave the height the same, and increase the width by 2-3 times. Also leave room for the seams and hem - 1 cm for the seams, 2 cm for the hem of the bottom.
Step 9
If you don't have panne velvet on hand, you can use any other thin fabric. Choose a color to your taste - any shade will do.
Step 10
Connect with needles the left and right halves of the skirt in front and back to the top of the "triangle" and sew from the wrong side with an even seam on a typewriter.
Step 11
Connect the panne velvet details with needles to the skirt in place of the cut triangle and sew on a typewriter. Then carefully fold the edges of the skirt and sew as well. The skirt is ready - you can measure it and get ready for a date.
