In order to draw a king from a fairy tale, it is enough to depict an aged man with a crown on his head, holding the attributes of power - an orb and a scepter. It is also worth paying special attention to his attire.

Step 1
Draw the body of the man. Usually kings from fairy tales are portrayed as elderly, so reflect this fact in your posture.
Step 2
Draw wrinkles, a beard, and a mustache on the king's face. Until the 18th century, nobility, including royalty, did not shave. Keep in mind that there were no skin care products or decent dentists in ancient times, so it is not necessary to paint a snow-white smile on the king's face.
Step 3
Start drawing clothes. Draw a paid - long-length caftan without a pronounced waist and belt. It had loose sleeves up to the elbow and widened noticeably at the bottom. This robe was fastened with hooks and round buttons. On the king's shoulders, draw a detachable round collar that completely covers the shoulders and neck. The elbows to the wrists were hidden by the sleeves of the undershirt, they fit quite tightly to the arms.
Step 4
Draw the boots. They were sewn from morocco or velvet; the red material was especially popular. The tops of the boots were decorated with embroidery and pearls.
Step 5
Pay attention to finishes and embellishments. On the sides of the caftan and along the hem, draw a braid with an ornament, decorate the fabric with sewing, pearls or stones.
Step 6
Draw the king's headdress. It can be a traditional crown with teeth decorated with precious stones, a thin crown or a royal cap with fur trim.
Step 7
Draw the attributes of royal power - the orb and the scepter. The orb is a ball made of metal, usually gold. This item is crowned with a cross or crown. The scepter looks like a wand adorned with precious stones. Keep in mind that both the orb and the scepter became a symbol of royal power in the second half of the 16th century. Russian tsars (and queens) held the scepter in their right hand and the orb in their left.
Step 8
Start coloring. To make the king's dress look rich and in line with his status, use gold and silver paint or a special gel with glitters.
