How to sew Dracula's cloak

First, look for a white shirt, black pants, tie, and vest in your wardrobe. Almost every man has such a set. After that, proceed to create the most important element of the Dark Hero - the cloak. To do this, you will need crepe satin red and black, ribbon, non-woven fabric.

After you have sewn both pieces of the cape, the back should look slightly lower than the front, as the red background gives this outfit a mantle effect.

So, take 2 multi-colored pieces of fabric, put them together and make a half-sun pattern. Make the ties 15 centimeters each and sew them between the black and red fabric. Remember that the red canvas should be on the inside and black on the outside. Sew the tape to the hem of the raincoat, thereby covering any irregularities in the cut.

How to sew Count Dracula's collar

Next, move on to the most difficult part of the Count Dracula costume - the collar, which should be high and stand-up. Take a black and red fabric of a hard texture, fold the fabrics together, turn the front side inward. Pre-measure the neck circumference and add another 5 cm to this value in reserve. This will be the lower part of the collar, designate it as "A".

Draw a trapezoid on thick paper (cardboard), its short base should be equal to "A", and the long one should be twice as large. Cut out the pattern and place it on two colored pieces of fabric and non-woven fabric. Next, cut out three identical pieces. After that, place the non-woven fabric with the adhesive side on the black fabric, cover with thick paper and iron with a steam iron.

In total, you will spend about 4 hours and a maximum of 1000 rubles to create a costume for Count Dracula.

Then fold the non-woven fabric (it should be on the outside), black and red fabric together. Sew the non-woven fabric around the edge and turn the collar inside out. Iron the finished collar carefully, paying particular attention to the corners as they should be sharp and straight.

The last step will be to sew the collar to the raincoat. It is better to sew the collar with the black side inward. When it is raised, the red fabric on the outside will be visible to others. Finally, sew a large button on one side of the collar and a buttonhole on the other.

After the costume is ready, do not forget about the main vampire accessory: fangs. And, of course, vampire make-up: blue under the eyes, pale face and bright red lipstick. I wish you creative success!
