Many do not even imagine that you can create very elegant, unique and inimitable things with your own hands. A prime example of this proof is a clutch bag from an old book. Such a product deserves special attention.

It is necessary

  • - unnecessary old book;
  • - parchment;
  • - scissors;
  • - furniture glue (you can use a heat gun);
  • - fabric of a suitable color;
  • - a needle;
  • - threads;
  • - clasp-clasp.

Instructions

Step 1

Taking an unnecessary book, draw a rectangle on the very first page and cut out every single page along this contour. Thus, you get something like a "window".

Step 2

Cut out the details from the selected fabric and glue the book cover with them. By the way, you can use different fabrics for pasting the outer and inner sides.

Step 3

Next, you need to divide the pages into three parts and place a sheet of parchment in each. Place the first sheet of parchment paper in the center of the book, and the second and third closer to the cover, that is, stepping back only 10 pages from the beginning and from the end. Use glue to glue the pages together. In order for them to stick together better and faster, place a weight on the book.

Step 4

Using a needle, punch holes in the edges of the pages that were not used in the gluing, that is, those that receded from the beginning and from the end of the book.

Step 5

Having opened the future clutch, place it on the selected fabric and circle, adding a couple of centimeters to the allowances. Draw another trapezoid to the drawn trapezoid so that it is its mirror image. Having folded this part, sew it in the narrow part from the wrong side. Sew the previously inverted figure into the holes formed with a needle, placing the narrow side to the spines of the book. Do the same with the second side.

Step 6

After gluing together the rest of the pages, make a fastener for the product. To do this, glue small pieces of wood to the side of the glued pages. When they grab, all that remains is to fix the clasp. The clutch from the old book is ready!
