Correctly selected earrings emphasize facial features and divert attention from imperfections. Unfortunately, in-store choices don't always match our tastes and style. Handmade earrings will be no worse than store accessories and will perfectly complete your unique look. And plastic is a material that will help you with this.
It is necessary
- Light-colored plastic;
- The image of the earring, printed on the printer;
- Formic alcohol;
- Sharp blade;
- Varnish;
- Cotton wool.
Instructions
Step 1
Roll out the plastic with a rolling pin, glass bottle, or other handy tool. Place the previously selected and printed image face down on the plastic.
Step 2
Now saturate the cotton with formic alcohol and smooth out the picture with a cotton swab with smooth light movements so that the whole image is transferred from paper to plastic. Be patient, as you will have to repeat this procedure several times, taking short breaks so that the newly translated ink from the image is absorbed into the plastic.
Step 3
After the picture is finally transferred to a "cake" made of plastic (it will take at least half an hour), carefully roll up the paper with a cotton swab.
Step 4
Now cut off the excess with a sharp blade, giving the workpiece any shape you like. Make a hole in the upper part of the future earring and send your piece to the oven, where it should sit for about half an hour at 130 ° C. And you can find out the exact holding time of the plastic by reading the instructions attached to it.
Step 5
After the required amount of time has passed, remove the earring and let it cool down. Once the earring has cooled down, cover it with a layer of varnish. Better use artistic acrylic varnish. If there is none, buy it, spare the money. After all, the unvarnished surface will wear out faster, and the image will be erased.
Step 6
Do not forget that the second earring must be made in parallel with the first. Otherwise, spend at least an hour on the second earring. When the earrings are ready, put them on and enjoy wearing them.
