Now homemade things or things decorated with your own hands are very much appreciated. Check out the watch finishing idea that turns dull Chinese stamping into an almost art object. With such a knitted finish, your watch will look more original, and the interior will become more unique.
You will need: an ordinary clock (wall or table), the frame of which is so wide that the knitted trim does not cover the dial; multi-colored threads (you can and should use those small balls that remain after knitting a sweater or skirt), knitting needles, the size of which corresponds to the selected threads, and, of course, basic knitting skills.
What do we do:
1. We measure the width of the clock frame that you will be decorating. Multiply this measurement by 2, so you get the width of the knitted strip with which you will trim the watch.
2. We knit a strip for finishing (variegated, striped or one-color, according to your taste and desire). Alternate the location and width of the stripes as desired. The length of the knitted strip should be such that, after stitching, it fits snugly around the watch, just like in the photo. Since the strip will turn out to be very elastic, periodically try it on for a watch (this is better than just changing its future length, as they say, "tested for myself").
3. Put on the knitted strip and carefully sew it so that the seam is invisible. To prevent the strip from sliding off, drop transparent glue (for example, "Moment-crystal") under it in a couple of three places, but this is not necessary.
4. If you want to add some extra touch to your wall clock, make tassels or pom poms and hang them from the bottom. Let your homemade product resemble old walkers!
Please note that this homemade product is so simple that it is perfect for developing a child's desire to learn to knit and create.
By the way, such a watch is a wonderful unusual present for relatives or friends. You can also make a set - add a tied photo frame to the tied watch.
