If you decide to start drawing, then the image of a jug and other utensils will be very useful for practicing the technique of using a pencil. You will learn to see proportions and draw even symmetrical objects of any shape. For this lesson, the Russian krynka is the best fit, since it does not have handles and is equipped with a nose of a simple shape.

Instructions

Step 1

On a piece of paper, with a light touch of a pencil, mark the place where the jug will stand. The drawing principle is large to small, whole to detail, so start by marking the height of the object with two pencil lines. Determine how much the width is less than the height and draw this border with the strokes of a pencil. Draw a center line in the middle of the drawing by eye (learn to look for symmetry). Check your vertical and horizontal lines against the edges of the paper.

Step 2

Divide the jug into two main parts mentally - the neck and the bottom. Consider these parts: the neck is shaped like a truncated cone, and the bottom is like an onion or ball. When drawing the walls of the neck, notice how much they taper. Lead the line not straight, but with a deflection inward. Draw a vertical support for the bottom, comparing its width to the width of the top of the neck. Divide the bottom into three parts: the hanger, the wide part and the narrowing of the bottom. Limit the wide part with two lines.

Step 3

The lines of the shoulders and the narrowing of the bottom are not even, but have bends and deflections. It is important that the symmetrical parts have the same shape. Check again the proportions of the parts of the jug and its symmetry. Combine the entire jug drawing with a clear line.

Step 4

Now you can start shading the drawing, work with a pencil confidently and clearly, with even strokes without loops and hooks. If you can't get a long stroke, try overlaying. Stroke fill looks best when there are elongated rhombuses between the lines. Check again the proportions of the jug in the combination of dark and light spots.

Step 5

After learning how to draw a jug and other objects, you can try to draw groups of objects. First outline the group as a whole, then look for the place of each item separately. First, determine the location of the largest object, and from it build the composition of the smaller objects. Remember also about the gaps between the depicted things and the imposition of them on top of each other.
