Mass Effect 2 has largely bypassed its predecessor, but introduced a new, highly controversial element - resource extraction. A simple and monotonous process caused a storm of indignation among the players, so many strongly opposed the "fixing of beacons on asteroids." However, for the passage it is necessary, so every gamer, whether he wants it or not, must be able to do it.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose an uninhabited planet. Finding one will not be so difficult, tk. in the gaming universe, they are the majority. As soon as you get directly to the menu of the celestial body, pay attention to the item in the description: "The number of resources on the planet." There are 4 main options, from "depleted" to "full". Since the subsequent process is very painstaking, it makes sense to ignore the planets with low and minimal levels of fossils, and fly away from the depleted "mines" immediately, without achieving their complete devastation.
Step 2
After choosing a suitable planet (asteroid), click "launch rock scanner". The planet will be covered with a grid; a green mouse-controlled cursor will appear on the surface; on the right you will see a table of elements and scales with resources already mined.
Step 3
Make sure you have enough beacons in stock. A limited number of those were introduced for balance reasons: the user simply cannot physically collect everything he sees. Therefore, pay attention to the selection of the elements that you need. As you know, resources are required for researching technologies, so remember in advance what you want to learn and what materials you need to get for this. The only exception can be considered "element zero":. there is very little of it in the game, and any source found should be immediately appropriated.
Step 4
The process of extracting resources consists in the fact that you move the cursor over the surface of a celestial body until the scanner's indicators jump up sharply. Don't try to click the mouse as soon as you find something - on the contrary, the game encourages careful searching. If you see that the chart has started to rise, then look around the entire surrounding area to find the point with the maximum values. After sending the beacon, all materials in the area of several cells fall to nothing, so you risk losing additional resources.
Step 5
Visit the Mass Effect 2 forums. Painstaking players have created and posted many fairly complete tables with lists of planets and the elements that can be found on them - which is certainly important when you have exhausted all the surrounding galaxies and resources are urgently needed.
